Tell us about yourself.

I'm sixteen, I am in my secound year of choir. I am in show choir, and will be participating in honor choir, montgomery county solo and ensemble, and MTVA solo and ensemble.

What is your greatest strength, and why?

My greatest strength is being able to pick up on things very quickly. I have the aspiration to presue a possible music career, and put forth the effort to achieve my goals.

What is your greatest weakness, and why?

My greatest weakness is finding my ability to find confidence in what I do. I have a hard time adapting to new environments.

What skills do you need to learn to turn your greatest weakness into your greatest strength?

I need to learn how to build my confidence, and find the courage to tell myself that I CAN do it.

What is the biggest challenge you have overcome, and what did you learn from that?

The biggest challenge I have overcome is not being able to sing by myself. I have learned that with a bit of confidence, and the drive to do something I love, I can achieve my goals.

Why do you deserve this award?

I beleive I deserve this award because I have worked hard and still am working hard to achieve my goals. I feel this oppertunity would bring me a step closer to finding myself a career in music.

Who has been a role model for you, and why?

My Choir teacher, Mr. Johnson, has been a big role model for me because he had taught me how to be confident in myself, and showed me that I can do anything if I put my mind to it.

What is the biggest mistake you made, and what have you learned from that mistake?

The biggest mistake I have made was not taking advice from others, and believing that I was unable to preform to my fullest abilities. I have learned that having such a lack of confidence in yourself can lead you down the wrong path.

What activities are you involved in?

I am involved in Choir, Horseback riding, and being active in competitions with my German class.

How are you giving back to others?

I am giving back to others by offering them advice that I myself once needed.

Tell us about a personal achievement that makes you proud, and what you learned from that achievement?

The personal achievement that I am most proud of, was winning gold in my county solo last year. I have learned that with true confidence in ones self, you can achieve your goals.

How do you define being a humble person?

I define being a humble person as someone who is kind, curtious, and giving to others.

How do you define servant leadership?

Being a servant leader means that you must provide help too those around you, and give them advice on how to bypass their struggles.

I am ambitious and driven toward my goal of achieving a possible career in music.
